Rod Sellers - Proprietor
Rod is a fourth generation butcher and commenced his career as an apprentice in 1976. After completing his apprenticeship he became manager for his Father's butcher shop whilst completing numerous business courses.
In 1989 Rod took over the reins and became the owner/operator of Sellers Quality Meats which has equipped him with over 31 years of experience and a great wealth of knowledge for the Meat Industry.
Rod is one of the voices and drivers behind the National Retail Council, is a member or the Australian Meat Industry Council Retail Board and Deputy chairman of the Australian Meat Industry Council NSW and worked for NSW education as a TAFE teacher at the Hamilton Campus for several years.
Rod strives towards keeping the independent butcher relevant in the retail Industry and provides his customers with quality and personal service along with versatility of traditional and value added meat cuts.
Chris Walker - Butcher
Chris has been a valued employee with Sellers Quality meats for over 10 years. Specialising in our award winning small goods Chris has outstanding knowledge of the detailed process required for manufacturing quality products.
Chris has all the qualified tradesman experience that you could hope for along with friendly, cheeky customer service.
Jake commenced his apprenticeship with Sellers Quality Meats in 2012, Rod saw a natural talent within Jake from the early stages of his employment and is now a fully fledged general butcher with the skills and knowledge to manufacturer small goods, break and prepare carcass meats and skills & knowledge in value adding product.
Jake provides exceptional customer service and says his favourite part of his job is seeing a smile on his customers faces everyday.
Lewis is our newest member to our team. After completing his apprenticeship in the Newcastle area Lewis hopes to advance his knowledge and skills in artisan small goods.
Lewis comes to us with a background of knowledge and a very friendly and approachable personality.
Karen has worked within the Mitchell Street Butchers for years and continued on with Sellers Quality Meats as our In House Chef creating gourmet home style convenient ready made meals for your family. Keep an eye out for Karen's creations that are posted on our Facebook and Instagram pages which are sure to fulfil your cravings.
Karen's delicious meals and snacks are also available for any catering events you may have.
Karen's long list of work experience includes Sea witch Restaurant, The Bistro, H.V Pasta Company, Feast Catering, The Junction Gourmet Kitchen, Martine's, Juicy Beans Café (Blue Door), The Chocolate Shop and South's Leagues club.
